ORLANDO, Fla.—The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team posted a 5-2 victory over Fairfield University.

Sydney Wolfe and Gisela Kemper paired up to defeat Emily Lombardi and Karen McKeough of Fairfield, 6-4 in the No. 2 doubles spot. Eve Small and Savanna Hunt posted a doubles victory in the No. 3 spot, posting a 7-6 (7-1) win over Shelby Vertula and Meghan Zimmer.

In singles action, Kemper, Wolfe and Small were victorious in their respective matches. Kemper posted a 6-2, 6-0 decision over Diana Prinos. Wolfe defeated Jessica Pil, 6-2, 6-3.

Small went the distance against Vertula, winning 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.

Senior Jieke Stroobant nabbed a singles victory, defeating Sarah Stuhlmann, 6-3, 6-4.

Hunt fell to Lombardi, 6-0, 6-4.

Astrid Santos played three sets against Nicole Aragones, with Aragones pulling away. Their match went 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.

The Panthers will finish their Florida trip, facing Fordham on March 16 at 2 p.m. (CT)
