WATERLOO--The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team notched a victory of South Dakota tonight, winning 6-1.

Jieke Stroobant had the longest match of the day, going all three sets against South Dakota's Ellie Burns. Stroobant posted a 3-6, 6-4, (10-3) finish.

Elvira Lopez won tonight at the No. 2 spot, defeating Barbora Kollarova, 6-4, 6-4. Gisela Kemper, Sydney Wolfe and Eve Small posted victories at the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 spots. Kemper posted a 7-5, 6-0 score over Nanette Nylund of South Dakota. In the No. 5 spot, Sydney Wolfe nabbed a 6-3, 6-0 win over Anastasia Bondarenko. Small would win at the No. 6 spot in singles, 6-0, 6-1, over Hannah Wich of South Dakota.

The Panthers netted two wins in doubles action tonight. Astrid Santos and Lopez defeated Kollarova and Nylund of South Dakota in the No. 1 doubles, 6-1. Kemper and Small paired up for the second win in the No. 3 doubles, defeating Burns and Wich, 6-3.
