CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI wrestling fans are encouraged to bring Toys for Tots donations when they come to the UNI-Dome for Saturday's UNI Open.

The southwest doors of the UNI-Dome will be open for ticket sales, and fans will be asked to sit on the west side only. Concessions will be available all day.

At least 18 teams are expected to be represented at the UNI Open Saturday. Fans can expect wrestlers from Iowa, Oregon State and Purdue. Other teams expected to be in attendance include Iowa State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, South Dakota State and North Dakota State.

UNI is coming off a strong performance at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite and Jim Koch Wisconsin Open from last weekend. The team took fourth, and six wrestlers medaled in Las Vegas, while freshman Jack Skudlarcyzk won the Jim Koch open.

This event allows fans to see many of the Panthers who are redshirting this season. Wrestling will start at 9 a.m. and usually wraps up midafternoon.

The Panthers will host their final dual of the 2017 calendar year with a matchup against North Carolina 7 p.m. Dec. 18. UNI will honor military members at that dual. The team will not be at home again until February.
