UNI MEN'S BASKETBALL STORYLINES
• The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team will look to advance to the championship game of the 2017 Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis on Thursday when the Panthers take on the North Carolina State Wolfpack (5-0 overall) at 2 p.m.
• UNI advanced to the semifinals with a 61-58 triumph over the SMU Mustangs on Wednesday behind a balanced scoring attack.Â
• UNI had four players reach double-figure scoring led by Spencer Haldeman's 15 points off the bench.
• The Panthers used a 21-2 run in the first half to turn a 14-10 deficit against the Mustangs into a 31-16 advantage.
• The Panthers have won four straight games and have limited the opposition to 47.5 points per game and 31.1 percent field field goal shooting.Â
• UNI has also enjoyed a commanding rebounding lead during its four-game win streak. The Panthers have outrebounded the opposition by plus-15 over the last four games.
• Freshman guard Tywhon Pickford has made at least one 3-pointer in each of the five Panther games this season. Pickford is averaging 9.8 points per game and 9.8 rebounds per game.
PANTHERS LOOK TO ADVANCE TO TITLE GAME AT BATTLE4ATLANTIS
The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team will look to advance to the championship game of the 2017 Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis on Thursday.
   The Panthers will take on the North Carolina State Wolfpack (5-0 overall) at 2 p.m. in the semifinals of the Battle 4 Atlantis.
BROADCAST INFORMATION
Thursday's game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
   Karl Ravech (play-by-play) and Dick Vitale (analyst) will call the contest.
NC STATE WOLFPACK
North Carolina State is off to a 5-0 start to the 2017-18 season with victories over VMI (102-67), Charleston Southern (78-56), Bryant (95-72), Presbyterian (86-68) and No. 2 Arizona (90-84).
   The Wildcats took down No. 2-ranked Arizona on Wednesday in the quarterfinals behind a 24-point effort from Allerik Freeman.
   Allerik Freeman leads the NC State in scoring at 17.2 points per game. Torin Dorn is scoring at 16.6 points per game, while Lennard Freeman is averaging 14.6 ppg.

UNI will be matching up against its second foe from the state of North Carolina this season on Thursday when the Panthers face North Carolina State.
   UNI began the season in Chapel Hill, N.C., by taking on No. 9-ranked North Carolina at the Dean Dome.
DEFENSE, REBOUNDING KEYED FOUR-GAME WIN STREAK
UNI has won four games in a row on the strength of its defense and rebounding.
   The Panthers have limited its last four four opponents to 47.5 points per game and held them to 31.1 percent shooting from the field.
   UNI has also dominated on the glass by out-rebounding its last four foes by a plus-15 margin. UNI is averaging 44.8 rebounds per game, while its foes are averaging 29.8 rebounds per game.
SPENCE OFF THE BENCH
UNI sophomore guard Spencer Haldeman sparked the Panther victory over SMU by draining four 3-pointers and scoring 15 points off the bench.
   Haldeman has made 11-of-25 three-pointers this season and is averaging 9.4 points per game off the bench.
TYWHON CONTINUES TO IMPRESS
UNI freshman guard Tywhon Pickford is averaging 9.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.Â
   Pickford is the only UNI Panther to have drained at least one 3-pointer in each of the team's first five contests this season.
