UNI Men's Golf Finishes Second at UNO Invitational

NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - The University of Northern Iowa men's golf team completed its opening tournament of the season Sunday, finishing second at the UNO Invitational in Omaha, Nebraska.
UNI's team posted consistently low scores, with four members finishing in the top 20. Setting the pace for the men was Sam DeBartolo, shooting rounds of 69, 78, and 73 respectively. This consistent showing earned him a tie for seventh overall in the field.
Davis Sutton and Dustin Atkinson finished second and third for the Panthers, both shooting three round totals of 220 and 222 between them. This placed them tied for No. 12 and No. 14 overall in the three day tournament.
As a unit the Panthers holed 45 birdies and two eagles.
As a team UNI shot a three day total of 885, trailing only South Dakota with a score of 878.
