Lesjak Wins Back to Back Honors

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa- Sophomore Maddie Lesjak has been named the Missouri Valley Conference goalie of the week for the second straight week for her performances against Viterbo and Missouri State.

Lesjak and the team secured shutouts in both games, bringing her season total up to three. Her strong performance in goal as well as timely team goals has the Panther's on the cusp of tying the consecutive wins record in program history at five.

Lesjak who improved to 5-1 on the season is currently second in the conference in shutouts per game. She most notably against Viterbo saved a point blank shot to ensure the Panthers victory.

Lesjak and the Panthers will chase history this Sunday Oct. 2 at Evansville. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. with live stats available via Evansville athletics.
