UNI Attack Cools, Falls to Eastern Illinois

CHARLESTON, Ill. – The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team fell to Eastern Illinois 3-0 Sunday afternoon, denying them their third win in a row.
The Panthers fired more shots 15-5 than EIU, yet struggled to find the finished product in the form of goals. Jenny Wick led UNI with two shots on goal, while Sarah Brandt, Morgan Teel, Kelsey Yarrow, and Brynell Yount all contributed one.
This is the Panthers first time being shutout in their last five games, registering 14 goals in their previous four match-ups. UNI has averaged 15 shots per game this season, as well as two goals per game.
Next up for the Panthers is a trip to Kansas State this Friday, Sep. 16th. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and live stats will be available via Kansas State athletics.
