ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team was caught again on the short end of a 4-3 decision on Monday.

Fairleigh Dickinson scored a 4-3 triumph over the Panthers in their first match of their spring break trip to Florida. It is the fifth loss this spring in a 4-3 match for the Panthers.

The Knights swept the doubles action to take a 1-0 lead, then hung on in singles play for the dual win.

UNI's Astrid Santos got the Panthers on the board in singles play with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles over FDU's Gisela Castany. UNI freshman Eve Small tallied a win over Katarinia Pavlovic at No. 5 singles. Small lost the first set, 6-0, and had rallied to take a 6-3, 3-2 lead when the Pavlovic was able to finish the match. UNI's Savanna Hunt cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory over FDU's Sabrina Helm at No. 6 singles.

FDU moves to 2-1, while UNI falls to 1-8 overall.
