CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Two UNI wrestlers moved up in the national rankings Feb. 11, 2016, placing three Panthers in the top 15.

Dylan Peters at 125 pounds and heavyweight Blaize Cabell improved their spots in the second of four coaches' panel national rankings for the 2015-16 wrestling season.

Six Panthers still hold a spot among the top 33 wrestlers in the nation:
- 125 pounds – No. 5 Peters (up from No. 7)
- 133 pounds – No. 13 Josh Alber (down from No. 12)
- 141 pounds – No. 28 Trevor Jauch (steady)
- 157 pounds – No. 23 Bryce Steiert (down from No. 19)
- 165 pounds – No. 19 Cooper Moore (steady)
- 285 pounds – No. 15 Blaize Cabell (up from No. 16)
The Panthers wrapped up their home wrestling season and will head to North Dakota State this weekend for a dual.

NDSU is led by the only senior in the dual lineup, No. 5 Hayden Zillmer. The Bison have three juniors with heavyweight Ben Tynan and Logan Paxton Josh Rodriguez. The rest of the lineup is packed with sophomores and freshmen.

The match at 125 pounds could include two top-20 opponents with UNI's No. 7 Dylan Peters and NDSU's No. 15 Rodriguez.

NDSU BY WEIGHT
- 125 pounds – No. 15 Rodriguez (28-7, 7-1) is a returning NCAA qualifier. The junior has the second most falls and major decisions on the team, with five pins and four major decisions. He leads the team in tech falls with five.
- 133 pounds – Nico Colunga (14-14, 2-4) is a true freshman who placed three times at state tournaments as a prep California.
- 141 pounds – Mitch Bengtson (14-8, 3-1), the 2015 West Regional winner at 141 pounds, started at 149 pounds this year before moving back down. He is a sophomore.
Tommy Walton (7-8, 1-2) has bounced between 133 pounds and 141 pounds. He is a sophomore. - 149 pounds – Clay Ream (17-13, 3-5) won the West Regional last year and was named the WWC Freshman of the Year. He took eighth at the Cliff Keen Invite.
Mitchell Friedman (15-11, 0-2) is looking for his first dual win. He is a sophomore. - 157 pounds – Kyle Gliva (16-10, 2-3), a sophomore, has won two open tournaments this year.
- 165 pounds – Grant Nehring (5-7, 4-3), a sophomore, took fourth at last year's regional.
- 174 pounds – Blake Thompson (5-13, 2-5) redshirted his freshman year at Utah Valley last year.
Tyler McNutt (10-10, 0-3), a redshirt freshman, notched three tech falls en route to winning the Bison Open. - 184 pounds – No. 5 Hayden Zillmer (26-3, 8-0), is a returning NCAA All-American having placed sixth last year. He won last year's regional at 184 pounds. He also won the regional qualifier in 2014 at 174 pounds, earning his first appearance at the NCAA tournament. He is 1-1 against Iowa's No. 7 Sammy Brooks and pinned No. 16 Abram Ayala of Princeton. However, he has lost to two other top-15 opponents. He leads the team with falls (8) and major decisions (7).
- 197 pounds – Logan Paxton (6-16, 1-7), a junior, has faced six top-20 wrestlers this season. He transferred from Sacramento City College after finishing seventh in the CCCAA Championships.
- 285 pounds – Ben Tynan (17-9, 6-2), a junior, is a two-time NJCAA tournament qualifier. He earned All-American status as a sophomore. He is 0-5 against nationally ranked opponents.
