The Basics: The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team is set to host the Kansas State Wildcats on Thursday, Dec. 22 inside the McLeod Center. The game is set for a 7 p.m. tip with Eric Braley and Elliott Eggleston calling the action on ESPN3.
Game Promotion: Thursday's game is UNI's Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest. Fans can vote for a winner at halftime. First 200 fans in the door Thursday night will get a UNI Panthers car decal as well.

About the Wildcats: Kansas State enters the game against the Panthers 10-1 overall, with its only loss coming at the hands of No. 1 Connecticut, 75-58. They are ranked No. 24 in this week's AP Poll, its first appearance in the AP Poll since 2012. The Wildcats rank 12th in the country in scoring defense, only allowing 51 points per game. On offense, the Wildcats are led by Breanna Lewis (14.5 ppg) and Kindred Wesemann (14.4 ppg). Lewis, a preseason All-Big 12 selection is also averaging 9.1 boards per game, making her a threat on both ends of the court.
