
Three Land On UNI All-Time List At Bradley Classic

PEORIA, Ill. – The University of Northern Iowa cross country program produced another strong outing this season, this time at the Bradley Classic with three women placing in the top-10 all-time at UNI in the 6K.
The meet was highlighted by true freshman Hannah Truniger, who placed 11th overall in the women's 6,000 meters, finishing with a time of 21:09.60. Truniger's time of 21:09.60 is a personal-best in the 6K and also ranks her No. 4 all-time at UNI.
Senior Kelsey Kirchoff notched a top-20 finish being Truniger, coming in 18th out of 232 runners with a time of 21:20.20. Ashley Norem was UNI's third finisher in the top-30, placing 22nd overall with a time of 21:29.20, recording a new PR and the seventh fastest time in school history.
Rounding out UNI's top four finishers at the Bradley Classic was Brette Correy, coming in 31st overall. The junior posted a personal-best time of 21:41.90 landing her at the No. 9 spot all-time at UNI.
On the men's side, Bailey Wetherell continues to lead the Panthers, earning his fourth top-50 finish of the year. Wetherell finished 41st overall out of 241 competitors, coming across the finish line in 25:17.70, a personal-best by over a minute.
Zach Buchheit placed 49th overall with a time of 25:23.60 with Jacob Day following closely in 52nd with a time of 25:28.50. CJ May also put up another impressive outing for the Panthers as a true freshman, coming in 58th overall with a time of 25:33.60.
The Panthers will take a week off and then gear up to host the MVC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls. The meet is set to start at 10:30 a.m.
