Petersen Wins 400th Career Match at Bradley, 3-0

PEORIA, Ill. - University of Northern Iowa head volleyball coach Bobbi Petersen earned her 400th career victory as the Panthers scored a 3-0 win over the Bradley Braves at the Renaissance Coliseum. UNI won by set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-19.
Petersen becomes only the fourth Missouri Valley Conference volleyball coach to earn 400 victories. She joins Linda Dollar (758 wins - Missouri State), Iradge Ahrabi-Fard (503 wins - UNI) and Melissa Stokes (425 wins - Missouri State) in the MVC's 400 victory club.
UNI (9-7 overall, 3-0 MVC) win its fifth consecutive match behind a balanced offensive attack. Bri Weber notched her 11th double-double with 10 kills and 17 digs. Kayla Haneline tied her with a team-high 10 kills (.444 hitting percentage). Piper Thomas and Lindsey Schulz each added eight kills in the victory over the Braves. Thomas supplied a career-high seven blocks.
UNI also recorded a .274 hitting percentage - the fifth straight match that the Panthers have hit .250 or better. It was also UNI's first 3-0 sweep of the season.
Bradley (5-9 overall, 0-2 MVC) lost its eight straight match on the season.
The Panthers will be in action again on the road Friday at Indiana State and Saturday at Illinois State.
