NORMAL, Ill. - The University of Northern Iowa men's golf team finished 13th out of 18 teams at its season-opening D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate event hosted by Illinois State University. UNI recorded team scores of 294-308-310 (912).

Kyle Driscoll shot UNI's low-round of the day with a 74. Driscoll recorded 10 birdies in the three-round tournament, which tied him for fifth in the field in total birdies. Driscoll tied for 25th in the final standings with rounds of 72-78-74--224.

Dustin Atkinson finished tied for 10th in the tournament with a three-round total of 220 (67-76-77). Atkinson was 3-under on the par-5s in the tournament, which ranked him tied for 8th in the field.

Illinois State captured the team title with a three-round total of 862 (288-287-287).

The Panthers will be back in action Sept. 21-22 at the Coyote Classic in Dakota Dunes, S.D.
