UIC Flames Tip Panthers in Indy, 3-2

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The University of Northern Iowa women's volleyball squad dropped a five-setter to the Illinois-Chicago Flames in the Panthers' finale at the Butler All-American Classic at Hinkle Fieldhouse. UIC won by set scores of 25-20, 20-25, 21-25, 25-23 and 15-9.
UNI (4-5 overall) was led by Kayla Haneline's career-high 19 kills. Haneline tallied a .359 hitting percentage with only five attack errors on 39 total attempts. Heather Hook also posted a career-high 55 assists against the Flames.
Freshman Bri Weber collected her sixth double-double of the season with 15 kills and 15 digs. Weber has been credited with double-figures in digs in each of her first nine collegiate matches.
Amie Held notched a season-best 23 digs on the defensive side for the Panthers.
UNI will return to the court on Wed., with a matchup against the Iowa State Cyclones at Hilton Coliseum. The match will get underway at 6:30 p.m.
