PANTHER SPORTS NETWORK
Panther Sports Properties produces game day radio broadcasts and special programming, syndicated on the Panther Sports Radio Network, which consists of nine stations across the state of Iowa.
Many of these stations also carry "Panther Sports Talk with Mark Farley," a weekly call-in show featuring Panther football coach Mark Farley. Panther Sports Talk airs for 12 weeks during the football season on Thursday's at 6 p.m. In addition, Panther Sports Properties produces radio broadcasts of all Panther women's basketball, volleyball and men's basketball games.
Panther Sports Properties also produces and syndicates a variety of live game telecasts throughout the season. The package includes roughly 12 live television games that air throughout eastern and central Iowa. Check your local listings for more information.
In 2017-18 News/ Talk 1540 KXEL will begin its 18th year as the flagship radio station of the University of Northern Iowa Sports Network. UNI Athletics and The Radio Group of Waterloo have a broadcast agreement that carries the Panthers on the "Blow Torch" through 2017-2018. KXEL will carry all regular and post-season Panther football, women's volleyball, men's basketball games, women's basketball games, wrestling matches, the weekly Mark Farley and Ben Jacobson shows, as well as other special programming focused on UNI Athletics. Panther Sports Properties works to coordinate the Panther Sports Network, which includes nine stations.Â

In 2017-18, Gary Rima (pictured below) returns, with his signature catch phrase, "Oh Baby!" for his 24th year as the radio voice of the Panther Football and his 25th year on the radio for Men's Basketball. Scott Peterson is back in the booth for his 27th season as football color-analyst on the UNI Sports Network. Peterson was a three-time letterman for UNI in the 1970s. Kevin Boyle, enters his 17th season as color-analyst for the Panther men's basketball broadcasts. Boyle was a former UNI assistant coach under Eldon Miller.
