WEST GYM
Nestled in the heart of UNI's picturesque campus is the West Gymnasium - the current competition site for Panther wrestling. It previously was used for volleyball and women's basketball.
Built in 1925 for a mere $180,000, the West Gym is an intimidating place for opposing teams to compete. With an intimate seating capacity of 2,052, the West Gym not only fills up quickly - it gets very, very loud.
UNI's volleyball team posted two of the longest winning streaks in NCAA history there, a 50-match streak in the mid-1990s, and a 74-match streak from 1997-2004 that is the fourth-longest ever in the nation.
