UNI Runs Home Win Streak to 12 With 5-2 Win Over Creighton

The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team scored its 12th consecutive home victory with a 5-2 triumph over the Creighton Bluejays Friday at the Black Hawk Tennis Club.
UNI (3-3 overall) got the match underway by taking two of the three doubles matches to secure the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead in the dual.
The Panthers were able to capture four singles wins from Elvira Lopez, Jieke Stroobant, Gisela Kemper and Sydney Wolfe.
Lopez, Stroobant and Wolfe each captured victories in both singles and doubles play against the Bluejays (2-4 overall).
UNI will be back in action on Saturday against the Western Illinois Leathernecks. UNI and WIU will get started at 9 a.m. at the Black Hawk Tennis Club.
