Detroit Snaps UNI's 7-Match Win Streak, 4-3

Homewood, Ill. - The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team saw its seven-match win streak snapped today by the Detroit Titans, 4-3.
Detroit (5-5 overall) was able to score the doubles point by scoring wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. UNI's No. 2 doubles team of Jieke Stroobant and Astrid Santos moved to 4-0 on the season with a 7-5 victory over Valeryia Kulikovskay and Nynke Van Der Goot.
UNI (9-4 overall) split the three singles matches with Detroit. UNI's Stroobant, Santos and Erica Medlin were victorious in singles action. For Stroobant it was her eighth consecutive singles win. Stroobant improved to 17-8 overall, which includes an 11-2 in dual action.
UNI will wrap up its weekend play in Illinois with a match against Northern Kentucky on Sunday morning.
