
UNI Sweeps Gustavus Adolphus; Home Streak to 17

WATERLOO, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team secured its 17th straight home victory with a 7-0 win over Gustavus Adolphus on Sunday at the Black Hawk Tennis Club.
The Panthers started the dual by scoring wins in all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 advantage.
UNI then proceeded to take all six singles matches in straight sets. UNI sophomore Jieke Stroobant extended her singles wins streak to six in a row with a 6-3, 6-2 win over GAC's Lizzy Stanczyk at No. 3 singles. Stroobant improved her dual singles mark to 9-2 on the year.
Elvira Lopez moved her singles wins streak to five with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph over Laurel Krebsbach, 6-1, 6-0. Lopez's victory gives her a 7-3 mark in singles play this spring.
UNI improved to 8-3 overall, while GAC fell to 0-5 on the season.
The Panthers will be in action again Feb. 27 at Chicago State at 2 p.m.
