GREEN BAY, Wisconsin - The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team lost its first road contest of the season as Green Bay topped the Panthers, 3-1.
UNI saw more attack from its bench on Friday, as its bench contributed seven of 10 shots against Green Bay. Junior forward Brady Clark came off of the bench for UNI to score the teams only goal of the contest off of the assist on a free kick from sophomore keeper Whitney Blunt. Freshman Sarah Brandt also came off of the bench to lead the Panthers attack with three shots.
Blunt allowed three goals on the afternoon but contributed eight saves for the Panthers. Two of Green Bay's goals came off of deflections in the box as Blunt was unable to get in front of the rebounds.
The Panthers next game will be Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. as UNI will take on the Wisconsin Badgers in Madison, Wisconsin.
