Wichita State Sweeps UNI, 7-0

WATERLOO, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to the Wichita State Shockers in Missouri Valley Conference action on Saturday. The matches took place indoors at the Black Hawk Tennis Club.
UNI (6-7 overall, 0-2 MVC) got a strong effort from senior Phoebe Walker at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. Walker and teammate Krissy Lankelma scored an 8-6 victory for the Panthers at No. 1 doubles over WSU's Lucia Kovalova and Veronika Blaskova.
Walker then pushed WSU's No. 1 singles player Rebecca Pedrazzi to three sets but the Panther senior came up short in the super tiebreaker, 10-4.
UNI will be back in action tomorrow at the Black Hawk Tennis Club against the Creighton Bluejays. The match will begin at 10 a.m.
