UNI Sweeps Green Bay, 5-0

The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team evened its season mark at 2-2 with a 5-0 sweep of Green Bay at the Black Hawk Tennis Club on Sunday.
The Panthers used a come-from-behind victory at No. 1 doubles to secure the doubles point. UNI's No. 1 doubles duo of Phoebe Walker and Krissy Lankelma trailed 6-1 in their pro-set to Green Bay's Amanda Timm and Rebecca Nelson. But Walker and Lankelma evened the match at 7-7 and forced a tiebreaker. The Panthers' duo then cruised to a 7-1 victory in the tiebreaker.
UNI's Chelsea Moore and Jessica King tallied an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles over Green Bay's Samantha Iwen and Maria Anderson as well.
UNI won the first four contested singles' matches to clinch the dual victory at 5-0.
UNI will next be action next Saturday at 11 a.m. against Western Illinois at the Black Hawk Tennis Club.
NOTES: UNI's Phoebe Walker tallied her 73rd career doubles' victory at UNI ... Walker is tied for No. 5 all-time at UNI in doubles' victories with Tami Williams (1983-87).
