
WBB Stumbles Against Drake, Falls 82-67

The Panthers were led by Jacqui Kalin and Hannah Schonhardt who combined for 39 points. Kalin finished with 25 points and two assists while Schonhardt added 14 points and five rebounds.
UNI and Drake went into the first media timeout tied 8-8 with 15:37 left in the first half. Schonhardt scored six of the first eight points for the Panthers with Jen Keitel chipping in with her first field goal of the game.
Drake held a seven point lead with 6:30 left on the clock with Schonhardt cutting their lead with a lay-up to make the score 28-21 and putting the freshman in double figures. The Panthers went on an 8-2 run to cut the Drake lead to 32-30 with less than five minutes in the half, sparked by six points from Kalin.
The Bulldogs went into halftime with a 48-39 lead. The Panthers shot 40 percent from the field in the first half with Schonhardt and Kalin both reaching double figures.
Drake extended their lead to 10 points in the second half with a jumper from Ashley Bartow to make the score 52-42. Keitel and Stephanie Davison ended the Bulldog run to make the score 56-49 off two strong drives to the basket, cutting the lead to seven points with 11:12 left in the game.
The Bulldogs went on a 7-0 run to lengthen their lead to 74-57 with less than six minutes to go in the game. UNI was unable to close the gap and eventually fell 82-67.
