UNI WBB Defeats NDSU 66-50; Kalin Leads with 26 points

The Panthers went on a 7-0 run starting at the 12:01 mark in the first half sparked by a jumper by Amber Kirschbaum. In the first 10 minutes of the game, Jacqui Kalin notched five points and Jen Keitel contributed with six, while Brittni Donaldson hit a pivotal three-pointer during the Panther run.
UNI turned their run into a 13-2 run over a span of four minutes. Brooke Brown scored her first two points of the game off a layup and another put-in by Kalin helped the Panther run.
The Panthers finished the half on a 25-10 run that started at the 12:01 mark. Kalin finished the half with nine points and five rebounds followed by Donaldson's nine points, shooting 3-4 from beyond the arc. Keitel finished the half with seven points and five rebounds helping the Panthers to a 31-18 lead heading into the locker room.
NDSU cut the Panther's lead to six points making the game 34-29 with 14:58 left in the second half. Sharnae Lamar scored on the next two possessions to ignite an 8-2 run by the Panthers.
Kalin added to her strong performance with an 11-2 run by herself. Donaldson finished the game for the Panthers, scoring the last two points in the game off of two free-throws giving UNI their second consecutive win.
Kalin led the Panthers with 26 points and nine rebounds, finishing perfect 6-6 from the free throw line. Donaldson added 14 points, scoring four of six three-pointers and Kirschbaum gave the Panthers 11 points and seven rebounds.
The UNI women's basketball team will return to action when they head to Las Vegas, Nev. to participate in the SouthPoint Thanksgiving Shootout Nov. 23-25. The Panthers will face-off against Arizona State, Florida and North Carolina State.

Amber Kirschbaum scored a season high 11 points against the NDSU Bison.
Brittni Donaldson scored a season high 14 points against NDSU. She scored a career high four three-pointers, going 4-6 from the arc.
Jacqui Kalin finished with a season high 26 points and career high nine rebounds. She is now third all-time at UNI in scoring with 1,477 points.
