Panthers Get First Road Win of the Season

The Panthers started off strong in doubles and never looked back from there. Laia Gonalez-Garrido and Phoebe Walker defeated Kelly Phillips and Emily Rogers of Northern Illinois 8-5 in the No.1 match. Jessica Kunzelmann and Krissy Lankelma got the win in their No. 2 match, defeating Haley Dekkinga and Ilse Pacheco of NIU 8-3. In the No. 3 match, Lara Okicki and Chelsea Moore cruised past Northern Illinois' Sara McLaughlin and Martina Schnapp 8-3.
In singles, Walker defeated Phillips of NIU 7-5, 6-1 in the No. 1 match. Gonzalez cruised past Schnapp of Northern Illinois 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 2 match. Okicki dominated her No. 3 match, beating Rogers 6-1, 6-1. In the No. 4 match, Kunzelmann defeated NIU's Dekkinga 6-3, 6-3. Lankelma won a close battle against McLaughlin 6-0, 4-6, 7-5 in the No. 5 match. Moore dominated Pacheco of Northern Illinois 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 6 match.
The Panther women head to New York to play a series of duals over spring break. They start off playing Quinnipiac on Friday at noon.
