Panthers Come Up Short to Stony Brook

WEST POINT, New York - The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team fell short to Stony Brook University, 5-2.
The Panthers took the point in doubles play by winning in the No. 1 and No. 3 spots. Laia Gonzalez-Garrido took an 8-4 win in the No. 1 spot. Lara Okicki and Chelsea Moore followed with an 8-2 victory in the No. 3 spot.
The Panthers had one victory in singles play. Jessica Kunzelmann scored a 6-2, 7-5 victory in the No. 4 match for the Panthers. Stony Brook won the other singles matches.
The Panthers will return to action Mar. 26, traveling to the University of Wisconsin. The match is set to begin at 9 a.m.
