Panthers Cruise Past Green Bay

Waterloo, Ia- The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team cruised past Green Bay, defeating them 7-0 at home this evening.
The night started off with the doubles action. Laia Gonzalez-Garrido and Phoebe Walker defeated Morgan Weuve and Emily Laurent of Green Bay 8-3 in the No. 1 Doubles match. Krissy Lankelma and Jessica Kunzelmann cruised past Green Bay's Jennifer Bradfield and Rebecca Nelson in the No.2 spot, 8-1. In the No. 3 Doubles match, Chelsea Moore and Lara Okicki beat the Green Bay team of Maria Anderson and Julia Kedrzyski 8-1.
The Panthers continued to dominate once singles play started. Walker defeated Lawrent of Green Bay 7-5, 6-4, on the No. 1 singles match. Gonzalez rolled past Green Bay's Bradfield 6-1, 6-2. In the No. 3 spot, Kunzlemann cruised past Weuve 6-0, 6-2. Okicki defeated Anderson in the No. 4 Singles match, 6-1, 6-0. In the No. 5 match, Lankelma beat Nelson 6-3, 6-0. To finish off the day, Moore defeated Kedrzyski 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 6 spot.
The Panthers return to action tomorrow at 12:00 PM against Milwaukee at the Black Hawk Tennis Club.
