Panthers Complete Play at Inaugural UNI Fall Invite

WATERLOO, Iowa. - The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team finished its home invitational with several second places in the singles and doubles competitions.
In the Platinum Flight singles, Phoebe Walker beat Kaitlyn Ritchie of Missouri 7-5, 6-2, in the semifinals. She went on to be defeated in the finals by Sonja Molnar of Iowa 6-1, 6-0.
Chelsea Moore was eliminated in the semifinals of the Gold Flight singles by Jessica Young of Iowa 6-0, 6-2. Also in the Gold Flight, Jessica Kunzelmann defeated Alexis Dorr of Iowa 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the finals. In the championship match, Kunzelmann lost to Young 6-2, 6-4.
Krissy Lankelma lost in the semifinals of the Silver Flight singles to Peta Forsyth of Minnesota 7-6, 6-3.
In the doubles competition, Jessica Kunzelmann and Chelsea Moore were defeated in the finals of the Gold Flight doubles by Krizman/Aguilera of Drake 8-4.
Next for the Panther women is the State Farm MVC Individual Championships Oct. 8-10, held in Normal, Ill.
