TEMPE, Ariz. – The University of Northern Iowa softball team dropped a 10-0 decision at No. 9 Arizona State Friday night in the DeMarini Arizona State Challenge.
The Panthers were held to just five hits in the game, led by a 2-of-2 effort by Lindsay Callanan. Jen Larsen allowed all 10 runs in 4.0 innings of work to be charged with her first loss of the season.
Arizona State scored three runs in the top of the first and added another pair in the top of the second. The Sun Devils plated five in the top of the fourth to seal the run-rule victory.
