
Panthers Fall at Indiana State, 1-0

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team dropped a Missouri Valley Conference match at Indiana State on Sunday afternoon by a 1-0 margin.
Indiana State's Morgan Wendlandt scored on a free kick in the 74th minute to give the Sycamores the decisive goal.
UNI (4-10-2, 1-3-0 MVC) was outshot by Indiana State, 15-7, and managed three shots on goal in the contest. UNI senior forward Nicole Ferlito led the Panthers with three shots.
Freshman Erin Zaideman got the start at goalkeeper and made four saves. Emily Lahay recorded the shutout for Indiana State (8-7-1, 2-2-0 MVC).
UNI's three-game unbeaten streak came to an end with the defeat.
UNI will return to action with another MVC road match on Sun., Oct. 24, at Evansville. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
