Panthers Extend Win-Streak

WATERLOO, Iowa– The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team (6-1) extended their winning streak to six games Sunday. The Panthers defeated the Western Illinois Westerwinds by a score of 6-1 at the Black Hawk Tennis Club. The win keeps the Panthers undefeated at home (6-0) as they continue an eight-match homestand.
Victories from UNI's No. 2 and No. 3 duos took care of a loss in No. 1 doubles, giving the Panthers the 1-0 lead. Laia Gonzalez-Garrido and Laia Gonzalez-Garrido fell to Griffin in No. 1 singles, 7-6 (8-6), 6-1. Freshman Laia Gonzalez-Garrido (UNI) 7-6 (8-6), 6-1
