
Panthers Top the Coyotes, 167-133

The Women's Swimming and Diving team finish strong in the dual against the University of South Dakota, coming home with ten first-place finishes. With their performances, the Panthers came up with a 167-133 victory over the Coyotes.
Abby Girard finished with three top-spots for the Panthers. She competed in the 100 backstroke (1:09.03), 200 backstroke (2:28.79) and 200 IM (2:31.65). Girard, along with teammates Maggie Rickert and Stephanie Frederick took second in the 200 medley relay, coming in with a time of 2:06.94
Chelsea Hartman took home two second-place finishes. In the 800 freestyle, Hartman clocked in with a time of 9:14.02, followed by, a 4:30.43 finish in the 400 freestyle. Hartman, Rickert, Frederick and Josie Itzen combined forces to take the top-spot in the 400 freestyle relay. The quartet clocked in at 4:05.28.
Maggie Rickert finished strong, taking second in both the 100 butterfly and 50 freestyle. She finished with times of 1:07.76 and 28.24, respectively.
Stephanie Yattoni captured the runner-up spot in the 800 freestyle. She finished with a time of 9:41.58. She also took fourth in the 400 freestyle, with a time of 4:45.94.
Josie Itzen, with a time of 2:13.86, took second in the 200 freestyle. Itzen also took third in the 100 freestyle, with a time of 1:02.43.
Stephanie Frederick took second in the 100 freestyle (1:02.11) and third in the 50 freestyle (28.28).
Sarah Heeden (1:20.82) and Caitlin VanByssum (1:22.79) capturing the third and fourth place spots. Ashley Mangrich also took second in the 200 breaststroke, coming in at 2:52.69 and third in the 200 IM (2:36.30).
Lauren Nelson took fourth in the 3-meter dive (188.62 pts).
The Panthers return to action next Saturday, Nov. 14, as they travel to Brookings, S.D., where they will take on South Dakota State and Northern Colorado.
