
Panthers Fall to Iowa State 1-0 in Overtime

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team forced Iowa State into overtime Sunday afternoon, but the Cyclones found the back of the net first, earning the 1-0 win.
Despite being outshot 21-5 through the first 90 minutes of play the Panthers managed to keep the Cyclones from scoring until the 99:43 mark when ISU's Mary Kate McLaughlin scored off a pass from Amanda Woelfel.
Goalkeeper Lauren Potzman finished with six saves in the contest.
The Panthers return to action Thursday, Oct. 8 when they travel to Des Moines, Iowa to face Missouri Valley Conference foe Drake. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
