
Panthers Drop 2-0 Contest to IUPUI

WATERLOO, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team fell 2-0 to IUPUI Sunday afternoon. The Panther defense held strong until the 64:22 minute-mark when IUPUI's Alicia Brock broke the scoreless tie and put the Jaguars on the board.
UNI managed just one shot in the first half in comparison to the Jaguars nine, but UNI goalkeeper Lauren Potzman was able to protect the goal, registering six saves in the first period. Potzman had eight total saves for the game.
UNI's offense warmed up in the second period, taking five shots, with four being on goal. Chelsie Hochstedler led the way for the Panther offense, taking three shots. Grace Goldman also registered two shots.
Megan Hock added the second goal for the Jaguars in the 75th minute to put IUPUI up 2-0.
UNI returns to action Tuesday afternoon against Western Illinois. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:30 and will be played at the Mark Messersmith Track and Field Complex on the UNI campus.
