Creighton pushed its advantage back to 28-22 with seven minutes to go, but a dunk from Coleman and back-to-back baskets from Eglseder tied the score at 28-all. The Bluejays ended the half on a 7-0 run over the final 4:27 to lead 35-28 at the break, as UNI missed its last five shots before intermission.

UNI fought back, going on a 14-1 run over the next six minutes, pulling within four, 46-42, after a Brown three-pointer. But that was as close as UNI would get, as CU extended its lead back to 58-46 with five minutes left, and was able to hold off the Panthers and earn the victory.
Creighton shot 42 percent from the field, while UNI connected on 40 percent of its shots. The Bluejays were 10-for-24 from three-point range on the night, while the Panthers were 6-for-20.
