The University of Northern Iowa men's golf team closed out the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate with a fourth place finish Monday in Normal, Ill.

Senior Brook Maher (Monroe, Iowa/ Prairie City-Monroe) continued to show improvement tying for fourth place in the final day at the Weibring Golf Club with a solid score of 211. Maher held on to his top performance finishing with a third round score of 71.

Jordan Weber (Bernard, Iowa/Cascade) improved from Sunday moving up to a 14th-place tie, firing a 216. The senior struggled in the first rounds of the tournament Sunday but he executed a third round 71 to propel him up the leader board Monday.

Junior Blake Hibben (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Northern University) finished the tournament tied for 36th recording a final score of 223 and a low round of 72.

Junior Eric Sipple (Waverly, Iowa/Waverly-Shell Rock) and sophomore Troy Hoffman (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Cedar Falls) both tied for 44th place with identical scores of 227. Sipple shot a third round 79, while Hoffman followed up with a low round of 74.

The Panthers finished the tournament in fourth place registering a score of 870. The University of Illinois held on to their first place finish with an 837.

UNI will be back in action Nov. 10 and 11 as they travel to Palm Desert, California for the Agua-Caliente Air Force Academy Invite.
