Cedar Falls -
The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team continued their rise to the top with a 6-1 defeat of the Evansville Aces Sunday morning. The Panthers improve to 14-3 overall and 4-3 in the Missouri Valley Conference, while the Aces fall to 3-13 and 0-7 in the MVC.
The Panthers were led by senior Jaime Noyce, who fell behind early in the second set of her singles match, only to storm back and win the final three games to win 6-1, 6-4.
With three matches to go, two against conference teams, the Panthers are looking to finish in at worst sixth place in the conference and possibly as high as fourth.
