UNI Tennis Team Avenges Friday Loss, Improves to 8-1

CEDAR FALLS -
Following their tough loss on Friday to Drake, the University of Northern Iowa Panther women's tennis team rebounded with a 5-2 win over the visiting University of Northern Colorado.
Meghana Paritala, Meredith Esbeck and Agnese Pukse avenged Friday loses with wins today in their singles matches.
"We're playing well," Head Coach Sachin Kirtane said. "We're still thinking about our loss to Drake. We had a chance to beat the second-ranked Bulldogs so that gives us confidence."
The win moves the Panthers to 8-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play. The Panthers are off for the next two weeks, with their next action coming March 25 and 26 when they visit Creighton and the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
