TENNIS TEAM RETURNS TO ACTION WITH CONFERENCE WIN

The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis squad improved to 9-1 (1-1) on the season after a convincing, yet close 7-0 win over the Creighton Bluejays 7-5 (1-2).
Of the nine matches, five were extremely close; with two of those going three sets. The number one doubles team of Mariana Muraca and Meghana Paritala defeated Kim Cavan and Katie Chiu 9-7.
The lone senior, Jaime Noyce lost her opening set 1-6, but came storming back with 6-4, 6-3 second and third sets to take the match. The Panthers are in action at 10 a.m. Saturday (March 26), when they face the University of Missouri-Kansas City, in Kansas City.
