
UNI Swimmers fall 162-120 to Iowa State

The University of Northern Iowa Women's swim team competed at home today falling to Iowa State University 162-120. The Panthers won two of 16 events, lowering their dual meet record to 1-7.
Erin Danielson (Johnston, Iowa/Johnston) raced in to first place in the 50-yard free with a time of 25.91. Katie Maloy (Auburn, Ind./R. Nelson Snider) also came in first in the 500-yard free with a time of 5:28.07 and came in second in the 1000-yard free, earning a total of 13 individual points for the Panthers.
Freshman Katie Klinkenborg (Overland Park, Kan./Shawnee Mission East) finished second in both the 200-yard fly with a time of 2:14.87 and the 100-yard fly (1:02.98).
Freshman Abby Moes (Sioux City, Iowa/Sioux City East) also earned two second-place finishes. In the 200-yard back her finishing time was 2:18.02 and in the 200-yard IM her finishing time was 2:22.05.
Freshman Ashley Hunter (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley North) finished second in the 100-yard free (55.78) and junior Rachael Robnett (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho/Lake City) finished second in the 200-yard breast (2:35.51).
The Panthers are back in action at home on January 20th against Augustana College at 6:00 p.m.
