UNI Athletics Announces Game Day Experience Information

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI football home opener takes place Saturday when the Panthers host Hampton (Va.) at 4 p.m. at the UNI-Dome. Along with the game comes game day atmosphere, and UNI Athletics is excited to announce the 2018 fan game day experiences and information.
Listed below is fun and exciting opportunities for fans to celebrate the game day with the best fans in the FCS. Also listed are other amenities and safety information that will make your day as enjoyable as possible.
· Football Fan Zone - UNI Athletics and Hy-Vee will partner again this year to provide a hassle-free tailgate experience for fans at the first four home games of the season. The Football Fan Zone, located just outside the NW entrance of the UNI-Dome, will include live college football games courtesy of CFU, live music, tents, games and inflatables. The $5 entry fee includes a sandwich with sides and a beverage of choice. Children ages 3 and younger are free. A cash bar will be available as well. Football Fan Zone will continue to serve as the Club Room for Panther Scholarship Club (PSC) members at the Purple Level ($600) or higher as they will get in for free with their Club Room passes. The fan zone opens three hours prior to kickoff and will occur the first four games this upcoming 2018 football season.
· Kids Zone is back and will be located on the McLeod Center's north concourse. This will give our younger fans the opportunity to use up some energy and move around during the game. The Kids Zone will feature several activities for our young Panthers, including inflatables, coloring station and a few other fun activities. The Kids Zone will open 30 minutes before kickoff and will close at the end of the third quarter. Additional details can be found HERE!
· Questions on Game Day? - Should you have any questions or concerns during your time inside the UNI-Dome, simply text your question to (319) 273-4849, and a UNI Athletics representative will respond or come to your location and assist you if necessary.
· McLeod Center Restrooms - We offer additional restrooms that are available in the McLeod Center concourse. This does include gender neutral restroom on the south end. This will be a welcome addition to help alleviate the long lines in the UNI-Dome.
· Split the Pot – Want a chance to win some money while attending the games? Purchase your Split the Pot raffle tickets during each home football game. Tickets pricing is 5 tickets for $5, 15 tickets for $10, 40 tickets for $20 or 125 tickets for $50. They can be purchased on either side of the concourse or there will be sellers mingling around on game day. For all Split the Pot information please visit HERE!
· Mothers Room - For mothers with infants, we are offering a lactation/nursing room located between sections Q and R on the west concourse.
· Golf Cart Shuttles – For those that need assistance getting to and from the UNI-Dome from the parking lots. Please communicate with your parking attendant in your particular lot and they can assist with having a golf cart pick you up from your location. If you park on the south side of 27th street, please meet the shuttle near the cross walk.
· Tailgating on your own? - Lots open six hours prior to the scheduled start time of the event. Charcoal grills and gas grills are permitted for cooking. No open fires are permitted. There is no re-entry allowed. For all of your tailgating questions, please visit HERE!
