UNI Ready To Host Annual Spring Game April 29

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa football program will host its annual Spring Game on Friday, April 29, kicking off a big weekend for Panther fans to be a part of. A pre-game tailgate presented by Tyson Foods will run from 5-6 p.m. with the game starting at 6 p.m. inside the UNI-Dome.
Fans can enjoy the pre-game tailgate presented by Tyson Foods with free food and drink while supplies last from 5-6 p.m. on the Eldon Miller Plaza, along with inflatables for the kids. Fans can also tailgate in the UNI-Dome and McLeod Center parking lots, but no outside food or beer will be allowed on the Eldon Miller Plaza or inside the UNI-Dome.
KXEL's Bob Bruce will host the Bob Bruce Radio Experience show from 2-5 p.m. with On Press Row's Cole Bair taking over the live show from 5-6 p.m. on the plaza, interviewing current UNI football players and coaches. Fans can also follow along with the action during the game with Panther Sports Talk's Brad Wells on the field interacting with players and coaches.
The Panthers will be scrimmaging in an offense vs. defense style, using the following scoring system:
The spring football game is part of UNI's "Panther Weekend" that features the game on April 29, the inaugural Run-4-UNI on April 30 at 8 a.m., followed by Rally in the Valley that evening from 5-9:30 p.m. in the McLeod Center.
Participants of the Run-4-UNI race can pick-up their registration packets for the 4-mile run through the UNI campus at the spring game at the Northwest entrance of the UNI-Dome. Fans can also preview the Rally in the Valley auction items from 5-7 p.m. on April 29, entering through the Northwest doors of the McLeod Center.
The UNI ticket office will be open during the spring football game for season ticket purchases. For more information on football season tickets, call 319-273-4849 or visit UNITix at www.UNITIX.uni.edu.
