Stacia Eggers, UNI’s Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student Services and Senior Woman Administrator, has been part of the Panther athletic department since 2009. She earned her latest promotion from Associate Athletic Director in September 2022.
Eggers oversees the Office of Student-Athlete Development, which includes athletics academic advising and the Life Skills program. She advises the football and men's basketball teams and has added oversight of the strength and conditioning and athletic training programs. She also serves as the sport administrator for volleyball, women's basketball, softball, men's and women's track and field and cross county.
She earned the 2016-17 Panther (Staff Member) of the Year Award.
Under her direction, UNI student-athletes have had a higher grade point average than the general student body every semester since spring 2010. UNI student-athletes also completed more than 4,000 hours of community service prior to the pandemic, which is the highest on record.
Eggers earned her bachelor’s (family services) and master’s (postsecondary education: student affairs) degrees from UNI. Eggers previously served as the coordinator of academic success at Upper Iowa University (UIU) in Fayette, Iowa, a job which she began in July 2006.
At UIU, she worked directly with the athletics department to develop and implement individualized learning plans to facilitate the academic success of student-athletes, to improve personal skill development, motivate learning and promote self-reliance. She advised student-athletes from 13 NCAA Division II teams. She also helped coordinate UIU’s freshman seminar course and taught multiple sections each year.
She married Travis Eggers in May 2013. The couple has a daughter, Kiaya, born December 2015 and daughter, Peyton, born August 2018.
