Robert Sales joined the UNI Athletics staff in August 2023 as Concessions and Retail Operations Manager.
A Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, returned to UNI after a two year stint at Louisiana State University as the concessions manager. Before his time at LSU, Sales was the associate director of concessions at UNI.
In his role at UNI, Sales helps oversees food service needs at outlets and stands throughout the UNI-Dome and McLeod Center on game days, for concerts and at other expos and exhibits the university hosts. He is also partially responsible for the experience in UNI suites and working with teams for beverage needs on game day.
Sales has a GED from Pella Community High School and holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute and the University of Northern Iowa.
Not only has Sales worked in the food service industry, he has a publication called “Donut Dynasty” which is a “Narrative Field Guide on Vending.”
