Olivia Chambers

Olivia Chambers joined the UNI swimming and diving staff ahead of the 2026-27 season as the program's Operations Assistant.
An All-MVC swimmer, Chambers spent four seasons on the Panther roster from 2021 to 2025, where she set junior class records in the 500 and 1,000-yard freestyle events, as well as the senior class records for the 1,000 and 1,650-yard freestyle with multiple program top-ten times.
The Little Rock, Arkansas native burst onto the para swimming scene in 2022 following her freshman season, breaking five American records at her first para compeition.Â
In 2024, Chambers qualified for her first Paralympic Games in Paris, where she captured the women's S13 400-meter freestyle title, becoming UNI's first-ever Paralympic champion and medalist. She also won two silver medals in the SB13 100-meter breaststroke and SM13 200-meter individual medley.
An 11-time World Para Swimming medalist, Chambers captured five gold medals at the 2025 World Championships in Singapore, and also holds multiple U.S. Paralympic Swimming national titles as well. She currently holds six American para swimming records and two world records.
Chambers resides in Cedar Falls with her guide dog, Mahi.
