SOPHOMORE (2012-13): Missed an All-American spot in the 133-pound weight class at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships by one round ... took second at the Mid-American Conference championships to automatically qualify for nationals ... placed fourth at 133 pounds at Cliff Keen Invite in Las Vegas ... was the 133-pound co-champion at Finn Grinaker Cobber Open ... led the team with 11 pins ... helped team to 15th place at nationals, which is the team's best finish since 2005.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2011-12): WWC's only NCAA qualifier at 141lbs ... won WWC championship at 141 pounds, coming into the West Regional as a No. 4 seed ... had most pins at West Regional (2) in just three matches (pinned NDSU's Diamond and Wyoming's Smith, seeded No. 1) ... overcame early-season injury and entered UNI lineup at 141 pounds, after competing at 125 pounds the previous season ... placed third at Flash Flanagan Open ... ended season with 13-8 overall record.
FRESHMAN (2010-11): Redshirted ... posted a 20-2 record in open tournaments, claiming titles at the Loras Open and Kaufman/Brand Open...placed second at the Grand View Open and third at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open...led the team in pins with 13 while having no falls scored against him...recorded three major decisions and one technical fall.
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-time state placewinner...state champion his junior and senior seasons competing at 119 and 125...runner-up his freshman and sophomore seasons at 103 and 112...helped team capture state title senior season while placing second junior season...four year letterwinner in wrestling...named to honor roll all four years.
