Trey Tinsley comes to UNI from USC where he spent the 2023 season as a graduate assistant working with the offense. While at USC, Tinsley worked with the no. 4 passing offense in the nation led by 2022 Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams.

Before USC, Tinsley spent a three-year stint at Mississippi State under head coach Mike Leach where he worked as a quality control analyst during the 2022 season and a graduate assistant with the quarterbacks and receivers in the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Tinsley was involved in eight bowl games in eight years as either an athlete or a coach.

During his collegiate playing career, Tinsley began as a quarterback at Fullerton Junior College before transferring to Washington State where he played for four seasons.
