Kate Deakins is in her first season as University of Northern Iowa’s Director of Football Operations. Deakins is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team, including team travel, recruitment, and serving as a liaison with the training room, equipment room, media relations, strength and conditioning, compliance, and student-athlete development and academics. Deakins graduated from UNI in May of 2017 with her B.A. in Elementary Education and will graduate in May of 2019 with her M.A. in Post-Secondary Education: Student Affairs. Deakins worked as tutor and graduate intern for UNI football’s academics from 2016-2018 before taking on the role as DFO in August.
