ST. LOUIS --- UNI freshman Hailey Luedtke earned the first honor of her collegiate career on Tuesday afternoon as she was named the Missouri Valley Conference's (MVC) Goalkeeper of the Week for women's soccer.
The Jackson, Wisconsin native posted a career-high tying ten saves to help Northern Iowa to its first win of the 2026 season on Sunday in a 1-0 victory over Belmont, notching her first career win in goal and first career shutout.Â
Sunday's match marked the second time this year the former Living Word Lutheran High School standout notched ten saves this year, after previously doing so in her collegiate debut earlier this season against Omaha. Belmont's Greta Genie is the only other goalkeeper in the league to post ten saves in a game this season.
Luedtke currently leads the MVC in both saves per game (6.5) and total saves (52), and holds a .788 save percentage in eight games played this year.
Luedtke and the Panthers return to action on Sunday, Oct. 4 when they visit the Illinois State Redbirds in MVC action. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT at Adelaide Street Stadium in Normal with live coverage available on ESPN+.
