UNI soccer named USC College Team Academic Award winner for 2025-26

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- The UNI soccer team on Friday was named one of 326 women's college program winners of the United Soccer Coaches' (USC) College Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 school year,
The honor is given to teams in recognition of their exemplary performance in the classroom. To be considered, teams must post a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.00. Northern Iowa posted a 3.54 cumulative GPA last season.
The Panthers, who are currently in preparation for their 2026 season, will host Hawkeye Community College on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 4 p.m. CT in an exhibition match. UNI's regular season will kick off on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 4 p.m. CT at home against South Dakota.
